Trees, Shrubs and Seeding: Lidl Landscaping, Mirfield

Lidl Landscaping Mirfield 1Meeting the deadlines for a late summer opening (10 August), we have completed the landscaping at a brand new multi-million-pound Lidl store and 148-space car park.  Built on former industrial land that had previously been left vacant since 2013. The 30,000sq ft store replaces – and doubles the size – of the store that was opposite.

The soft landscaping completed by the Paxman Landscapes team creates a green aspect around the car park, store entrance and roadsides.  Large 16/18cm girth trees have been planted, accompanied by native shrubs and hedging, ground cover and grass seeding.  All of the planting has been mulched to ensure healthy plant establishment and weed suppression.

Paxman Landscapes had previously been on site at the very start of the project build to remove trees and clear vegetation in preparation for the construction of the store itself, completed by Castlehouse Construction, Leeds.

The 30,000sq ft store replaces – and doubles the size – of the store that was opposite and  will create up to 20 new jobs.
