Sleek, chic landscape heads into Phase 2

Following in the slipstream of Phase 1 landscaping at the new Ferrari showroom in Leeds, JPL will return in February 2022 to drive planting forward in the project’s second phase.

Trees, Seed, Turf and Perimeter Planting

Preparing the site initially for grass seed and turfed areas, JPL will return for Phase II next year to complete a varied and functional soft landscaping plan including large trees, hedging and swathes of shrubs for structure and perimeter protection and boundaries.

The Planting Plan

In a soft landscaping delivery that is second-nature to the JPL team, the landscapers will manage the project which includes every planted element from extra heavy standard trees to hedging and ground cover.

The plan includes swathes of single species in junipers and laurels. For winter stem colour, the palette enjoys winter favourites Cornus Midwinter Fire and Photinia Red Robin alongside Corylus avellana and Spiraea thunbergii.

The hedging and shrub choice has two functions; structure and protection. Hebes, lavenders, Rubus and laurel provide the height, form and foliage contrast whilst the hawthorns, berberis , Chaenomeles and Prunus spinosa afford the schemes a protective layer around perimeters and boundaries. Native shrubs and a formal and defendable hedge complete the selection.
