Paragon Business Park Planting at Speke, Liverpool
Trees, hedgerows and ground cover shrubs: three staples of commercial soft landscape works. With pinpoint consideration of the drawings, client schedules and final brief, J Paxman Landscapes have completed the soft landscape works around the perimeters and parkways of the new Paragon commercial centre in Speke, Liverpool. Another successful project completion with contractor Triton Construction, this project was planted, mulched and signed off in October 2025. It was particularly commended for its close adherence to the drawings and specification, and overall finish and project management from the team, led by Landscape Manager Nathan Paxman. Andy Gaskell, Project Manager for Triton said:
“As we handed over this successful external works delivery in Speke, the landscape architect shared that they were “very pleased ” with the soft landscape provision, highlighting particularly that they appreciated JPL’s attentiveness to their requirements on-site and the successful delivery by the on-site team under Nathan’s management.”
The Brief and Works
Planting and securing with tree guards over 1000 transplants for the boundary and fence hedgerows, the J Paxman Landscape team also handled, planted and secured feather and clear-stem heavy standard trees (Acers, Alders, Birch, Hornbeam, Limes and Beech). These were fitted with watering bags, staked and tied. Some smaller beds were planted with small shrubs for security and foliage colour.
