Celebrate Pina Colada Saturday with Paxman Landscapes at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show this April
Hot on the heels of the successful launch of the new GrassGreener artificial lawn product at last year’s Show, Paxman Landscapes have big plans for their “tropical dream courtyard” show garden this Spring. At Harrogate Spring Show, taking place at the Great Yorkshire Showground this April 24-27th 2014, Paxman Landscapes are inviting visitors to join them on their Pina Colada Saturday to share a little pineapple tipple, whilst they breathe in the beauty of an exotic garden landscape.
Under the Professional category, Paxman Landscapes will build the garden which will showcase the team’s skills in the construction of walls, raised beds and pathways as well as their planting and design expertise. Brimming with plant surprises, the garden has an air of the tropics and will be scattered with ferns, climbers, bamboos, grasses and exotic plants, with other tropical nuances along the way. Garden structures, lighting and a seat for visitors to rest and take in the garden’s full splendour will make this garden a showstopper, finished off with a beautifully perfect artificial lawn from GrassGreener.
On Pina Colada Saturday, visitors can share cocktails with the team whilst breathing in the tropical beauty of the courtyard, which will be brought to life by Paxman’s crew in the week before the Show. Justin Paxman, the company’s director and the person responsible for the concept and construction of the garden itself said, “We hope to create a little tropical corner of Harrogate during the Show, and to share a Pina Colada with everyone who takes time to enjoy the garden with us.”
He continues, “The project has involved the whole Paxman team as well as enlisting some great support from suppliers and sponsors, without whom the garden would not come to life.” He goes on to thank Marshalls Landscape Supplies, who have provided the paving and Thorndell Engineering of Doncaster who will be making a bespoke pergola to take pride of place within the courtyard. Johnsons of Whixley have also been instrumental in the provision of many of the plants within the design.
Paxman Landscapes will also be running a daily prize draw from its stand, with a bumper stash of tropical-themed prizes available on Pina Colada Saturday. They will also be running a Facebook competition in the run up to the show to give away 2 tickets to attend on Pina Colada Saturday. An exclusive show discount will also be available for enquiries taken at the event.
