Brand new play area and equipment in Mirfield

The landscape team have worked with specialist play equipment suppliers and wetpour safety surface contractors to complete the new play area on Kiln Avenue, Mirfield. Completing Spring 2025, the project was part of the Kirklees Council Landscape Framework and was awarded to the J Paxman Landscapes team to complete.

Removal of old equipment

With the old equipment and surfacing no longer safe to use, its removal and replacement involved deconstruction and disposal of the old apparatus, breaking up the hard surfacing and preparing the groundworks for the delivery of the new play equipment. The very sorry looking playground has been rejuvenated with bright marked surfaces for creative play and a new slide and activity centre.  Finished with varying hard and soft safety play surfaces, the playground was ready to come to life its eager young visitors and families in May 2025.
